Top 5 Social Networking Apps on iOS in Ukraine - Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five social networking applications on the iOS platform in Ukraine demonstrated interesting trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps, providing valuable insights.

Telegram Messenger started strong with weekly revenue peaking at around $146K in the first week of January. The revenue fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending with approximately $119K in the last week of March. Weekly downloads saw an initial spike of about 98K, then experienced a dip before stabilizing around the 40K to 50K range. Active users remained relatively steady, starting at approximately 4.1M and slightly declining to around 4M by the end of the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained a consistent weekly revenue, ranging from $4.6K to $5.6K. Downloads varied, peaking at 49K in the first week of January and showing a gradual decline to about 26K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight downward trend, starting at 2.17M and ending at around 2.13M.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, with notable peaks of 47K in early February and early March. Active users fluctuated slightly but generally increased from 592K to 589K over the quarter.

Threads exhibited significant growth in downloads, particularly in mid-February with a peak of 51K. Active users also increased, starting at 210K and reaching approximately 308K by the end of March.

Google Meet had a notable spike in downloads in late January, reaching around 61K. However, downloads decreased significantly afterward, stabilizing around the 10K mark. Active users showed a gradual increase, peaking at 9K in early February before declining to about 5.9K by the end of the quarter.
